WHAT TIME IS THE RACE STARTING AT?
The swim will be a rolling start, 5 seconds between each competitor
 First swimmer will start at 7.00am

WHAT TIME DOES TRANSITION OPEN?
Wave 6.00am, last bike check-in 6.40am, Transition Area cleared 6.50am

WHERE AND WHEN IS REGISTRATION?
Registration will take place online, you will check in at the top transition on the morning of the race. Here you will collect your race number, timing chip and race bag.

WHERE DO I FIND THE RACE BRIEF?
The race brief will be emailed to you.

DO I NEED A TI LICENCE?
Yes. This is a triathlon Ireland sanctioned event, you are required to either have a full TI Race Licence, or an ODL (One Day Licence).

WHAT ARE THE CUT OFF-TIMES?
From when you enter the water you have:
Swim 1:00 Total Time 1:00
Bike 4.30 Total Time 5:30
Run 2:30 Total Time 8:00

IS THERE TOILETS ON THE COURSE?
Yes there are toilets in Transition and at Newton Cove Swimming Club
Bike Course At 72km public toilets in Bunmahon
Run Course At the water stop at 5km & 13km

IS THERE AREAS ON THE COURSE I SHOULD PAY PARTICULAR ATTENTION TO?
Marshalls will be placed at any danger points, descents and road crossings so please take notice if them. The bike route is straight forward for the first 40km. For every hill there is a decent, after climbing up ‘The Pike Hill’ at 42km you will enter into a very fast decent into Dungarvan. At 58km you will pass Waterford Greenway on your left as you come down another fast decent, you pass the Greenway Car Park at Durrow.
The next decent is at 67km before reaching Bunmahon, this a fast decent with a winding road at 68km. (This is not marshalled). The last decent is at 79km through Annestown with a sharp left at the bottom of the decent.

WORRIED ABOUT THE  SWIM?
We will have plenty of kayakers, rescue boards and a rib on the swim route. Our eyes will be on you to make sure you are safe.
